In 1953, a group of college students from Pomona College dressed in their togas and put ivy wreaths on their heads. With their dorm mattresses in tow, they gathered at the home of Mark Neuman, a freshman, who lived in Flintridge. In doing so, they participated in a party that would remain a time-honored tradition in colleges and universities for many decades to come. America had seen its first college toga party.
Toga parties have become a staple on college campuses. In fact, the largest toga party, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, happened in February 2012 in Australia. Over 3,700 participants joined together in Brisbane to enjoy good food, great drinks, and play Greek or Roman-themed games.
Join In On The Fun!
You don't have to be in college to enjoy a great toga party. In fact, First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt held a toga party as a joke for those who referred to her husband as "Caesar". There's no reason why you can't have just as much fun!
At Moon Costumes, we've got a variety of toga adult costumes to make your toga party even better. Women will love their Greek transformation with our incredible Greek Goddess costume. Or if you're looking for something a little sexier, our short toga costume is perfect for an alluring look.
For all of you guys, we've got great toga adult costumes for you too! You can choose between our classic Julius Caesar look, or choose something like our Spartan costume, which ladies love.
Toga parties are a blast! And we're here to make sure you have the best time possible!

Raves give you an opportunity to party with your friends to the exciting, pulsating sounds of Electric Dance Music during an incredible light show. The adrenaline is rushing, you're having a great time...and you want to be sure you've got one of the best rave costumes at the party.
Great Rave Costumes
At a rave, half the fun is seeing the costumes people come up with. Don't be left in the dark! Do some brainstorming and come up with something that reflects your personality (or that's just the opposite of your personality!), and that will get you noticed while you're partying with your friends.
Dressing for a rave doesn't have to be difficult; it can be simple if you put together the right items to create a unique look. This is one time when it's okay to go against the crowd. As long as you're wearing something colorful, you're going to look awesome.
Our shop has some incredible wigs that will pick up the colors in the light show beautifully. They're also comfortable to wear, so you can put it on and trust that you're looking fabulous without having to worry about it for the rest of the night. Don't be afraid to go over the top a bit with your clothes--the brighter, the better! And when you're choosing your makeup, outrageous is the answer. How about choosing a great set of eyelashes to complete your look? Or don a tattoo?
Whatever you choose, you're going to have a great time! And at Moon Costumes, we've got everything you need to be sure you do!

Cosplay is short for costume play. Cosplayers enjoy dressing up as various types of characters for different events. While there are many opportunities for cosplay, one of the most popular ways to display your creative (and eccentric) side is by attending cosplay conventions.
Dressing up in a costume that represents a favorite video game or anime character is all the norm when you attend a cosplay convention. Great conventions like WonderCon in Anaheim, California and MangaNext in East Rutherford, New Jersey are where the anime fans flock to participate in all kinds of events as well as dress as some of their favorite characters. And as far as which characters are good for cosplay conventions...the rule is, there are no rules!
A Great Costume
Whether you're planning on attending your very first cosplay event, or you're a seasoned pro, it's always good to evaluate (or re-evaluate) your costume to be sure it's the best. One of the most important things to remember is that details matter! Cosplay is an art form, and those who love it, know how important it is to do it right. The best way to begin your costume planning is to study your character. Take in every possible detail about their clothing. The best cosplayers even learn how to impersonate their character, right down to their speech and way of walking.
