Friday, September 9, 2011Halloween may be a month away, but California’s Disneyland resort is starting the costume rich celebration right about now – well, next week to be exact. From September 16th through October 31st Disneyland will hold their “haunted and happy fun.”
Mickey Mouse and all of his friends will be dressed in costume after hours for “Mickey’s Halloween Parties.” The Halloween parties will take place on a Disneyland stage throughout the season on Monday Tuesday, and Fright Nights.
Highlights of “Mickey’s Halloween Party” will include a newly themed dance party where guest can mix, mingle and dance with some of their favorite Disney characters while dressed in costume at the new Piratepalooza at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante.
Characters that are expected to make cameos around the park throughout the events include Buzz Light Year, Storm troopers, Phineas & Herb, and Duffy the Bear in his pumpkin attire. Park guests will also have the opportunity to see other Disney villains and Pixar Pals.
Guests will have the special opportunity to play in Disneyland for three hours before the party starts, to look for healthy treats around the Disney neighborhood, and watch the fireworks spectacular hosted by none other than “Jack Skellington.” Mickey’s Costume Party cavalcade parade will even be performed twice nightly! Those who visit the theme park during the month and a half long celebration are asked to dress in costume so they can trick or treat around the park.
These events are open to Disney character and cosplay lovers of all ages. Tickets can be purchased in advance for the nightly festivities.
