Cons for Costumes of All Kinds



We count eleven cons that you can attend the weekend of May 20 – 22, all across the country! So we’ve decided to give them to you in geographical order, from West to East.

  1. Big Wow! ComicFest - San Jose, CA - 2 Days Of Comic Book, Art, Anime & Pop Culture Fun like costuming panels and a screening of Rocky Horror Picture Show.

  1. Spokane Comicon - Spokane, WA – has a costume contest for youth and adults.

  1. Otafest - University of Calgary – Alberta, Canada – an anime con with a cosplay contest!

  1. Dallas Comic Con - Irving, TX – a sci-fi con with amazing guests like Stan Lee, Leonard Nimoy, Carrie Fisher.

  1. MCBA SpringCon Comic Book Celebration - Saint Paul, MN – The Midwest Comic Book Association encourages anyone to come in costume! Also enjoy a costume parade and contest.

  1. Anime Central - Rosemont, IL – mostly features anime art.

  1. Mobicon - Mobile, AL is a multi-genre con including science fiction, fantasy, gaming, movies, horror, art, comics, anime and Costume Contests.

  1. Cult Fiction Drive-In - Jacksonville, FL – view cult film favorites and then meet the stars.

  1. Fanaticon - Asheville, NC –enjoy comics, collectibles, pop culture and more take a superhero stroll (villains invited too), and a costume masquerade. (And it might get you in the mood for Animazement May 27-29, 2011 in Raleigh, NC!)

  1. Wizard World Big Apple Comic Con: Spring Edition - New York –Movies, Comics, Toys, Video Gaming, Games, TV, Horror, Wrestling, MMA, Original Art, Collectibles, Anime, Manga, & More.

  1. Puerto Rico Comic Con - San Juan, Puerto Rico –meet Margot Kidder from the Superman films of the ‘80’s and play diverse games from Magic The Gathering to Yu-Gi-Oh! And World of WarCraft TCG to Naruto.
