Batman has the Joker, James Bond has Dr. No, Luke Skywalker has Darth Vader , and Santa Claus has Krampus. But Wikipedia tells us that you may have spotted him if you’ve ever played the arcade game CarnEvil, where Krampus is featured as the boss of the
Krampus.com says “he often appears as a traditional red devil with cloven hoof and goatish horns, although he can also be spotted as an old bearded wild-man or a huge hairy beast.” Unlike the image of Santa Claus, Krampus can be depicted in a number of ways. Since the word “krampus” comes from the old German word meaning “claw”, so you could certainly incorporate some some of them into the costume. Accesorize with items like a bag made of fur or hide to carry away the naughty children, rusty chains, or a whip or switches to beat the bad kids. Some stories have him handing out sticks or lumps of coal to the naughty children too.
