Tuesday, April 20, 2010Vulcan Events Sci-Fi Con. They promise that attendees can enjoy a myriad of events including autograph and memorabilia auctions, costume contests, innovative games, a dance party, autograph sessions, Q&A sessions and panel discussions with the best stars, and even special events and games developed expressly for sci-fi lovin’ kids. And of course, since it’s Vulcan Events, it’s the LOGICAL choice. (Get it? Vulcans...)
As you can see in the ad above, their guests include Christopher Lloyd, known for his portrayal of Emmett "Doc" Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy. (The DeLorean Time Machine will be making an appearance too!) But he also played Commander Kruge in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.
Almost all the rest of the guests have donned a Star Trek costume at some point in their careers. For example Dean Stockwell was Star Trek:Enterprise, as well as Stargate SG-1, and David Lynch's Dune among many, many other things. Currently he can be seen in the new Battlestar Galactica series.
M*A*S*H’s Sally Kellerman had a memorable role as Dr. Elizabeth Dehner in the second filmed pilot episode of Star Trek, entitled "Where No Man Has Gone Before", opposite Gary Lockwood and William Shatner. Gary Lockwood (known for his role as astronaut Dr. Frank Poole in 2001: A Space Odyssey) and Sally Kellerman will be taking part in a special Q&A session (with photo opps) about the Star Trek episode that started it all.
There are more guests too, so check their website and then beam yourself over there!
