Making the Most of your Costumes

You can get more use out of a costume by coming up with an event to enjoy over the summer.
Children love any excuse to dress up, so come up with a way to have some summer fun, and then you can modify the costume when it starts getting cooler in the fall and use it for Halloween!

Here are some ideas for summer/fall costume parties for adults and kids:

Summer is a magical time, when you can sit in a garden decorated with fairy lights to enjoy the warm weather. If you’re throwing a party for any reason, whether it’s a birthday party, a bridal shower or a company picnic, you can encourage guests to don some wings and come as a fairy – adults or kid fairies.

Okay, so maybe only girls could get away with that, but guys could be included in a Fairy Tale theme. We’ve got the Tin Man from Oz, Peter Pan, Robin Hood or a frog prince. Or you could even be the Big Bad Wolf disguised as granny. Disney Costumes can work for men or women too.

For other events that are just for the ladies or girls, either of the above will work, as will angels -- a good theme for a baby or bridal shower-- or princesses –especially for little girls who want to throw a tea party.

Another idea that may be more fun for adults—throw a pirates pool or beach party and you’ve got fun on the water! We’ve got a wide array of pirate costumes, for both men and women, and even a little Captain Jack costume for kids!
