Get Fitted at Animazement

The Animazement Convention in Raleigh, NC starts today, May 22, and runs through the weekend, and Moon Costumes will be there!

We will be doing custom fittings as well as offering sale items, so be prepared to be amazed (or should we say, Animazed) by several new all-leather pieces and a stock of hard-to-find costume weapons.

One of our new leather costumes is Vash the Stampede from the anime and manga series Trigun. Also known as "The Humanoid Typhoon" and "The $$60,000,000,000 (sixty billion double dollar) Man" due to the destruction which surrounds him.

Some of our newest costumes , many of which are custom-made-to-fit, are from:

Air Gear – Simca and Ringo Noyamano

Soul Eater - Maka Albarn and Justin Law

Apollo Justice – Apollo and Trucy/Minuki

Chrome Shelled Regios - Naruki Gelni

Devil May Cry 3 – Dante and Virgil

Devil May Cry 4 – Nero, Dante and Kyrie

We’ve also expanded our extensive Naruto and Bleach lines with Team Cloud, a new Uryuu Ishida, Stark and much more.

Animazement is one of the leading North American conventions celebrating the art and culture surrounding Japanese manga (comics) and anime (animated movies). They say they’re “[c]elebrating the world of Japanese visual culture through anime, manga, video games, J-rock, martial arts, traditional crafts, and more! Brought to you by fans, for fans.”

The convention screens new shows, has interviews with directors and authors, several cosplay events. In contrast to other con’s, Animazement consistently has a high proportion of attendees appearing in costumes, with excessive "glomping" (the pouncing hug many anime characters often give), and a popular late night rave. It may not be the biggest con, but it's the most fun for us.

If you're going to be in Raleigh this weekend, it's definitely worth a visit even if you're not an Anime fan. The energy and scene are so exciting and fun, it may turn you into one!
